Here we are, at the end of another God-filled summer at Camp Cedarbrook! We are overjoyed that we were able to minister to girls in-person again at 59 Davignon Road.
A few highlights from our summer of ministry:
315 campers reached including 140 new campers!
79 Parent/Daughter campers
46 staff and 43 volunteers
9 girls accepted Christ
10 CILT graduates and 10 LEADs (leadership campers)
COVID free all summer long!
These are just a few facts that describe our summer, but suffice it to say that the Lord is still at work and accomplishing His mission through the Cedarbrook experience.
One of my tasks each session of camp is reading all the camper evaluations. This helps me find out firsthand if we're on-track with our mission. While it can be time consuming, it's so worth it to hear campers process their experience at Cedarbrook.
One Challenger camper wrote this on her evaluation after our Two Week Experience:
These weeks I greatly grew my relationship with God. I put my identity in him alone! I learned about taking off the old, earthly and sinful self and replacing with the new self that is alive in Jesus! I was reminded of how everything we have belongs to God.
We're resting and recovering from our busy season and starting to plan and prepare for next year already!
If you're free for a day or more over Labor Day Weekend (September 3-6), please join us as we close up camp for the winter. Tasks will vary from cleaning to taking down tent bunks and everything in-between! This will actually be my first Labor Day Work Weekend, since my family recently relocated to Saratoga Springs!
