Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

In case you haven't heard the amazing news, Camp Cedarbrook is returning in-person this summer! We received the green light from New York state to plan on reopening!
Amidst this great news we know that summer at Cedarbrook won't look exactly the same and we are preparing for those changes. We want to preserve the Cedarbrook experience and stay true to our values, however we also want to be wise and run a safe camp. While we don't have specific guidance yet from the state on what they will require, we are formulating plans to help parents and campers prepare.
What we anticipate will change:
- Campers will be organized into cohorts based on cabins and age groups and we'll try to keep them together as much as possible throughout the session.
- Masks will need to be worn when interacting outside of cohorts (which should be rare).
- Campers and staff will be monitored daily for symptoms and there is a possibility of on-site COVID testing.
- There may be a requirement for testing negative for COVID before attending camp.
- Limiting large group and indoor gatherings.
- Meals will be outside when permitting.
- Cleaning and sanitizing will be increased throughout camp.
Thankfully, much of our programming already happens outside (4 Arrows!) and the core of the Cedarbrook experience takes place in a small cabin group. We are doing our best to limit changes while keeping campers and staff safe. Camp people are flexible and we will adapt to regulations and protocols. Above all, the Lord's work will not be hindered.
How you can help:
- Pray with us for a safe, healthy, and transformative summer!
- Support us financially. We're coming off of a summer with no registration revenue and have a variety of increased expenses related to running camp safely this year.
- Send staff referrals our way - we'll need extra staff to cover increased responsibilities and serve as back-up in case of illness.
Registered families will receive regular communication updates through CampDoc and can find additional details on our website.
We are excited to have campers return and know that the camp experience is very much needed after this pandemic year. Check our my latest blog post to read more about the Case for Cedarbrook in 2021.
In Christ,
Amy "Ellie" Culhane

Consider supporting Cedarbrook through a one-time or monthly gift! We are facing a summer of increased expenses related to running camp safely after a year of no camper fee revenue. We value your financial partnership as we invest in the next generation of Godly women.
